The Mirror is a great example of what’s wrong with local journalism. At least 80% of stories are about government and those of business are only how government and business interact. The natural bias to the left also ensures that every press release from a left leaning group gets written up.

Mayor McCoy displayed extremely poor judgement by donating to progressive liberals over conservative Republicans. He has revealed who he will represent if allowed to become Connecticut’s next US Senator.

As a Simsbury resident I know our peripatetic first selectman depends on the kindness of her friends in Hartford. What I don’t know is who runs the Simsbury PR branch (in the Courant, etc.) when she reappears as Selectman. All the stories are puff pieces and there are some real problems that have been glossed over.
