Mike Clark to Exit 5th Congressional District Race, Will Endorse Roraback.

Farmington Republican and former FBI corruption buster Mike Clark will announce Wednesday afternoon that he is ending his campaign for the 5th Congressional District seat being vacated by Democratic incumbent Christopher Murphy. Clark, who helped put Lisa Wilson-Foley supporter, felonious former Governor John G. Rowland in prison for corruption, is expected to endorse state Senator Andrew Roraback.

Clark, who served as Chairman of the Farmington Town Council until last November, hopes to deliver Farmington’s 14 delegates to Roraback in the crowded race for the Republican nomination that also includes Wilson-Foley, Justin Bernier, and Mark Greenberg. Party faithful hold their nominating convention Friday afternoon.
