Mrs. McMahon Accepts NBC 30 and ABC Debates.

Republican United States Senate candidate Linda McMahon’s autumn nights are going to be filled with nationally broadcast debates. The confident wrestling mogul has accepted invitations to debate her Democratic rival, Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, in primetime on NBC Connecticut.  That October 28th debate may be broadcast nationally by MSNBC, according to NBC Connecticut’s Sharon Butterworth, who told the campaigns in an email today, “Our network cable partner, MSNBC,  has expressed interest in putting the national spotlight on this race.   We’re discussing the possibility of having one of their prominent on-air personalities moderate the debate.”

Shortly before accepting the NBC invite, McMahon said yes to a debate invitation from George Stephanopoulos to debate on ABC.

As Mrs. McMahon’s very good week ends, she’s accepted eight invitations to debate the 5-term attorney general.  The Republican candidate’s eagerness to participate in head-to-head confrontations with her Democratic opponent suggests she’s confident of her ability to argue her lower taxes, smaller government brief against her Greenwich neighbor’s orthodox Democratic views as the economy continues to stall.
