Outsider Blumenthal Brings in President for High Dollar Event.

Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, the Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate, announced today that President Obama with appear for him on September 16th at the Stamford Marriott.  The event, sponsored by the Connecticut Senate Victory Fund, features a top ticket price of $12,400.00, which includes a photo at a presidential reception.  Others will pay $1,000.00 a ducat.

Mr. Blumenthal sent this message to supporters and others today:

Today my campaign announced an exciting piece of news. President Obama will be joining me in Stamford on September 16th for an early evening fundraising reception. I hope you will come out for what is sure to be a fantastic event as we head into the home stretch of the campaign.

Outsider looks like an insider in trouble.
He may have more $$$ after the event to explain why he had the event at all.

So a party representing itself as the connection to the downtrodden can pony up lots of $$$ to make sure they keep control.

Obama isn’t going to show in the 2nd or 5th Districts where the blue collar economy is comatose. Time to see if the Gold Coast hedgies cough up to cover themselves with the current administration

Simply mind-boggling. In this political climate, Democrats in general are taking a huge gamble attaching themselves to Obama.

But that goes triple for ol’ Blumy, who’s already tried to run the other way with that “I’m not an insider” softshoe routine he pulled. Now he’s going in reverse and buddying up to the President?

Linda McMahon’s ad will write itself.
