Peckinpaugh Endorses Simmons.
Janet Peckinpaugh, one of a trio seeking the Republican nomination for Congress in Connecticut’s 2nd district, endorsed Rob Simmons Wednesday. Peckinpaugh, who will appear on the third line of the primary ballot with Simmons, gave the Stonington Republican with the suspended campaign that’s advertising on television, an effusive welcome back.
Peckinpaugh declared, ““It is my hope, as it is the hope of thousands of people across Connecticut, that Rob will win the Republican primary and help lead our nation, and our state, back to greatness”.
My memory of this is vague, but I don’t believe Peckinpaugh, who was a delegate to the Republican state convention in May, cast her vote in the Senate race for Simmons–or any other candidate. Nevertheless, she’s with him in a big way now.

Oh wow! Maybe he can land Anthony Mozilo’s endorsement too!
Her alternate (Barbara Ryan) voted for Simmons Kevin so her vote was indeed cast. Were you even at the convention or did you just watch it at home on television in your jammies?
Yuk, yuk fuzzy……
If you think you’re going to make the honor roll from Rennie for being “clever and entertaining” you’ve got a long row to hoe.
And the self-serving opportunistic moves just keep coming. Stay tuned for more on Action News!
