Roldan Heavy on Hooey With House.

Hartford mayoral hopeful and former prep school chorus boy Kelvin Roldan went into a long, stumbling dance in his Face the State interview with host Dennis House Sunday morning.  The WFSB segment found Roldan tripping over himself to avoid direct answers to House’s concise questions.
Mercy, the Hartford Democrat could not remember any questions included on the campaign poll he recently commissioned. Not one.  Nor could he recall how many questions he included on the survey. Those evasions will increase interest in the script the Perez-Roldan campaign deployed. Roldan also tripped over House’s question of when he knew of allegations that rival Mayor Pedro Segarra did not report Section 8 housing benefits his spouse received for rental property he owns in Hartford. He claimed he first heard of the issue when he read about it in Jon Lender’s Hartford Courant column.  That cannot be true.
Keeping with the theme of evasion, Roldan refused to say if he believes his felonious benefactor Perez is guilty of corruption.  He concedes a jury found Perez guilty but would go not a step further.
Roldan fell on his face when House posed the simple question of what was the biggest mistake Perez had made during his tenure. He would not acknowledge any.  Not even those home renovations performed by a city contractor. Not lying to investigators.  Not one dish from the menu of tawdry deals.
For a little over 10 minutes, the Guys and Dolls dance captain brought his floating crap–game–to our screens.  Check here for a link when it’s available.
