SEIU Bungles Dumpster Dive on Yankee Institute Chairman and His Mother. Collects Info on Others.

Influential Connecticut union CSEA/SEIU continues to be agitated over the work of the Yankee Institute, a conservative think tank.  In June, the State Employees Bargaining Agent Coalition (SEBAC)–of which SEIU is a member–alleged that the Yankee Institute had improperly influenced the vote that rejected a concessions agreement between the Malloy administration and state employees. Attorney General George Jepsen found no merit in the SEBAC complaint in a July 28th announcement.

SEIU remains busy looking for ways to undermine the Yankee Institute, Daily Ructions can report.  Its website features dossiers on Yankee board members, including real estate holdings of some, with special attention to the non-profit’s chairman, Andrew Cowin.  The SEIU document notes that Cowin “[a]ppears to have divorced Joyce Cowin sometime in the last decade in New York City. However according to NYC City Dept of Records and Information divorce records are sealed in NYS.”

Andrew Cowin has been married to the same woman for more than a decade.  What’s it to you?
