Haughty Elizabeth Esty has a problem. A big one. A videotape has surfaced of the Cheshire Democrat id nominee for Congress in the 5th District speaking at a local meeting a decade ago inviting anyone who doesn’t like the cost of local government can move. You can hear the sneer in her voice. Expect to see a lot of Esty’s chilly pronouncement on how to cope with the rising cost of living in Connecticut. One suspects there is not a similar video of Republican Andrew Roraback.

The video has the air of authenticity that a thousand ads cannot cover. They can’t give you a heart where there’s an empty space.
