Lisa Wilson Foley, Republican of Simsbury and unaffiliated of Newport, tweets urging followers for contribute to gubernatorial explorer Mark Boughton, the mayor of Danbury. Boughton defeated nursing home magnate Wilson Foley in a 2010 Republican primary for lieutenant governor. Boughton became Wilson Foley’s second more prominent supporter in her unsuccessful bid for the Republican nomination for Congress in the Connecticut’s Fifth Congressional District. Wilson Foley faded in the home stretch and came third in the long four candidate race.

Wilson Foley’s connections to felonious former Governor John G. Rowland caught the attention of federal criminal investigators. Rowland enjoyed a curious and lucrative relationship with the Wilson Foley nursing home organization, run by her husband, through one of its lawyers.

This photo posted on Facebook features Wilson Foley, the perpetually bewildered Republican state chairman Jerry Labriol and Dr. William Petit, looking in robust health and spirits, has ignited speculation that Dr. Petit may be contemplating encouragement to run for public office.
