State Representative William Tong (D-Stamford) made a successful fundraising foray to California as his overture to a bid for the 2012 Democratic nomination for the United States Senate builds.  The third term legislator alighted in San Francisco and Los Angeles to warble his nascent pitch to the Asian-American communities in those two metropolises.
