A Good Man Runs For Attorney General.
State Representative Arthur O’Neill (R-Southbury) dresses like he just walked off the set of the popular television series Mad Men, so his time may have come. O’Neill will seek the Republican nomination for attorney general. The 12-term legislator earned high praise as co-chairman of the legislature’s 2004 impeachment committee that forced felonious governor John G. Rowland from office. He made short work of one of his opponents in the race for the nomination, Rowland defender Ross Garber.
O’Neill is a good man whose candidacy would bring honor to the race in this year of the disillusioned. An O’Neill-Jepsen contest in the fall would be good for Connecticut.

As someone who lived briefly in Southbury, I think Art O’Neil is a tremendous talent. He’s the type of person Connecticut needs in a key position. Although pretty conservative, he is a Republican that will attract votes from the Democrats.
He is an honorable and upright man. A race between Art and George Jepsen would raise the level of political discourse in Connecticut.
Without question, Arthur O’Neill is one of the finest individuals to have walked the halls of our State Capitol. He is a man of great integrity, intellect, and industriousness. He is a tireless and selfless public servant. In an era of public skepticism about politicians, the man and the moment may have arrived: Attorney General Arthur O’Neill.
Are is the real deal, smart, thoughtful and focused. I agree that his entry to the race raises the bar and can only be good for the state of CT.
