Capitol Village Alum Making Good in Show Business. Jim Wareck Uses Experience in Politics in Award-Winning Short Film.

Congratulations to Jim Wareck, a New Haven Democrat living in Washington who served as state Senator Martin Looney’s aide long ago.  Jim has a distinguished political pedigree in New Haven and tried to do some good by challenging a dreary Democratic legislator in a vigorous primary.  He fell short in the vote count but learned many lessons about loyalty, friendship and the human condition in politics.  He combined his experience in politics with his lively and creative mind to make a movie.

Below the Beltway tells a tale of politics, and at least one character is drawn from a local notable.  Read more about the film here.
