Commissioner Katz Loses One at the Starting Gate.

Former legislator, Rowland deputy, and Department of Children and Families official Brian Mattiello told the Torrington Register Citizen on January 19th that he would return to DCF as deputy commissioner and chief of staff. Mattiello, community development director at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, confirmed for Daily Ructions this morning that he changed his mind last weekend and will not be joining Commissioner Joette Katz.

Mattiello met with Katz several times in the process of accepting and declining the influential position the challenging agency.
