DailyKos/SEIU: Murphy and Bysiewicz in Nomination Dogfight Over Connecticut.
The DailyKos/SEIU poll on Connecticut’s Senate race gives some sustenance to Susan Bysiewicz as the crucial 1st quarter fundraising sweepstakes nears a conclusion. Bysiewicz trails Congressman Christopher Murphy by just 2 points in the race for the 2012 Democratic nomination for the seat held by retiring incumbent Joseph Lieberman. Murphy leads the former secretary of the state 40-38 in the survey of 400 voters. The poll was conducted between March 17th and March 20th, a few days after Murphy’s endorsement by his four fellow House Democrats from Connecticut had been in the news.
The poll undermines Team Murphy’s efforts to cast their candidate as the inevitable nominee. That could act as a spur to other Democrats enter the race with 16 months to go before Democratic primary voters head to the polls.

i don’t understand who could possibly support her. i mean not against Chris. maybe against Ghadafi …………
maybe
Frank Borges has alot of baggage,Also would Connecticut want a wall street big wig ? Susan Bysiewicz is a great person and very hard working, she would get my vote not Borges for sure
I’m thinkin’ – maybe I should switch party affiliations again. First from Republican to Libertarian. Thank you very much for the final push Mrs. Rell! Maybe now I’ll switch to (hold your nose) Democrat just so I can vote against Bysiewicz in a primary. I mean really, why not? There are no Republicans in CT, and the Libertarians have just about as much chance at winning anything as the Repubs, so why not? I can still vote my conscious in the general election. Something to ponder.
Oh Lord – anyone but Murphy. I probably would support Khadaffy over Murphy. Not that I have any love for Bysiewicz, but I hope she gets the nomination simply because Murphy would be a disaster.
This poll is baloney. It’s created by Daily Kos to force both candidates to beg for union support.
