Daria Novak’s Anemic Fundraising.

Madison Republican Daria Novak has not reaped a bountiful harvest from her third ballot victory at May’s 2nd congressional district nominating convention.  Novak has only $18,059.41 available for the 3-way August 10th primary, according to her second quarter fundraising report.

Novak faces lawyer Doug Dubitsky and former television anchor Janet Peckinpaugh in the sprawling district.  Their reports were not available this morning.  Novak’s been in the congressional race since April 2009.  Dubitsky and Peckinpaugh were late entries into the race this spring.

Interesting that you only report on Daria’s numbers. Please let me know how Doug’s and Janet’s numbers will be reported. Will I find them here? I will be watching.
Daria’s support is strong grassroots. That may not amount to the dollar amount you would like but, to us, it represents votes in April and November. Money does not represent strong support; only people do. And that is why Daria is known as the people’s candidate!

Hmmm. . . .looks like a mountain out of a molehill to me. Let’s see: people are losing their jobs or worried about losing them thanks to Mr. Courtney & Co. in Congress with their tax and spend ways. Taxes are going up: bet on it since the Bush tax cuts are set to expire and our tax-spend-regulate Congress has no plans to reinstate them. Families are on vacation with their kids, trying to have a bit of fun this summer. Money’s tight. I wonder if one or all of the above are contributing factors. Not to mention the anemic CT GOP’s lack of support for truly Conservative candidates. . .hmmm. . . . the campaign season is just starting to heat up and fundraising will right along with it. Have no fear: Daria Novak will win the primary and then the CT GOP will no doubt, fawn all over her. And even if they don’t wake up, there are plenty of grassroots Conservative who will step into the breach. . .not to mention the ENTIRE CT 2nd Congressional District who are fed up with Joe Courtney, aka, Nancy Pelosi’s lap dog.

A sign of the times , I ‘m afraid, not of the candidates.

I would say that I expect to see similar posts about the fundraising of Janet Peckinpaugh and Doug Dubitsky in a few days which will also be dismal, but I know that it wont be here.

What exactly is the reason for that Kevin? Is it because you have accepted that Novak will win the nomination so the others are not worth mentioning or is it because you have an agenda? When Dubitsky has one fundraiser with Simmons you spin it to mean he was endorsed, ignoring the fact that Simmons attended two fund raisers for Novak before that and had one scheduled for Peckinpaugh after it.

The Peckinpaugh and Dubitsky reports are not yet available. Whey they are, you’ll read about them here.
