Former Fedele Chief of Staff Among Trio of Long Island Sound Heroes. Fast Action by Neighbors Saves Flailing Children.

Full salute to Bryan Cafferelli, who served as chief of staff to former Lieutenant Governor Michael Fedele, and two other Fairfield beach residents, Paige Herman and Eric Barthel.  Herman saw four children in distress Sunday in a rising tide.  Cafferelli appeared on the scene in a kayak to assist Barthel.  Both had been alerted to the developing danger by neighbor Herman.
