Jack Orchulli to Run for Comptroller.

Jack Orchulli, who made a fortune in fashion as business partner to designer Michael Kors, will seek the Republican nomination for comptroller.  Orchulli was the Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate against Christopher Dodd in 2004.  He received 33% of the vote.

Orchulli has been mentioned for other offices now and then.  Since his 2004 race, Orchulli has been involved in Republican politics in Darien, Connecticut.  He’s also served as a fund raiser for state Republicans.  He’ll probably forego the state’s public financing of campaigns scheme.
