James Spallone Explains It All. Former Legislator Urges Governor to Veto Haddam Land Deal.

Deputy Secretary of the State James Spallone made a brave contribution to the commonweal Wednesday.  The former legislator sent a letter to Governor Dannel P. Malloy urging him to veto the controversial Haddam land swap that would have the state give a real estate developer 17 acres overlooking the Connecticut River in exchange for a larger, less desirable parcel abutting a state park.

Spallone represented Haddam when he served in the legislature.  He opposed the suspect scheme then, and he explains it all in his letter.
