Judicial Nominee Withdraws.
Assistant State’s Attorney Brian Leslie asked Governor M. Jodi Rell to withdraw his nomination for a seat on the Superior Court. She has consented to his request.
There’s more here, including an assessment of the governor’s selection process.
Leslie’s withdrawal leaves a serious question in its wake: How did his nomination make it through the Judicial Selection Commission when so many others without a startling stain are rejected? Did anyone on the commission speak to Dr. Richard Weber or his lawyer, Michael Kogut?
