Latest Poll Finds Foley and Malloy Tied at 45.1%
The latest CT Capitol Report/Merriman River Group poll has Republican Tom Foley and Democrat Dan Malloy tied at 45.1%. Foley has been closing the gap with Malloy since the August 10th primary.
Foley’s daily tracking is also finding a close race–with him in the lead some nights. A big advertising buy for the weekend may help the Greenwich plutocrat eke out a victory. A chunk of it is going to New York television to boost Republican turnout in southwestern Connecticut.

Tom Foley’s undisclosed felony arrests should worry every woman voter and every missle class voter in Connecticut.
He did not un-cover those arrests until he was found out by an investigative reporter. And then he lied on his federal security clearance forms, which would put any soldier in the US Armed Forces in the brig. But when you’re rich like Mr. Foley, maybe the same rules do not apply?
He trashed out his first wife, and that is troubling too. And assualt with a vehicle? The man has a mean streak!
I cannot possibly trust a ruthless corporate raider like Tom Foley as Governor of Connecticut.
Tom Foley appears to be buying the Governor’s office of Connecticut.
How in the world can the voters stand for that?
Dan Malloy is the better qualified, dedicated public servant.
Tom Foley still is trying to gloss-over his arrests, the Bibb layoffs, and many other negatives.
I think CT should have a Governor who knows how to get things done in the rough and tumble of CT politics (Malloy), and a Governor who does not have to explain his arrests (Foley).
Tom Foley needs to come clean on his arrests.
He deliberately kept his past troubles covered up when he started running for Governor. The arrests, AND the compounding of the matter by the faked federal security clearance. He probably would have never told us, but he was found out by a sharp investigative reporter at the Hartford Courant.
As a woman, wife, and working mother, I also want to hear him talk details about his ridiculously ugly divorce and custody battles, and really spend some time explaining in plain English the details of his massive layoffs and bankruptcy at Bibb Corp.
It’s a level of sleaze that I cannot fathom.
In an open forum with the cameras rolling, I would love to ask Foley:
“TOM FOLEY, PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY (W-H-Y!) YOU COVERED UP YOUR TWO ARRESTS AND THE FAKE FEDERAL SECURITY CLEARANCE, ONLY TO BE FOUND OUT AND OUTED BY AN INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER? WHY, MR. FOLEY?”
“TOM FOLEY, IF THE REPORTER HAD NOT OUTED YOU IN THE NEWSPAPERS, WOULD YOU HAVE EVER–EVER–REVEALED THESE TERRIBLE FLAWS TO THE VOTERS????????”
Take your time Mr. Foley, every woman voter in Connecticut is waiting patiently for your full and forthright answers.
Guess Audrey and company (boot licker Roy) forgot about the investigations in the Malloy Adminstration as well as the multiple raids by Police on Dan Malloy’s home .
