Leapin’ Lizards Alert: Republican Filmed on Streets of New Haven. Yale Students May Need Sanctuary in Sanctuary City After Starring in Draft Daniels Ad.

The clever Yale University students who formed Students for Daniels have made a splash by creating and disseminating 2 ads urging the second term Indiana governor to run for president.  The ads are earnest and amusing in the manner copyrighted by arch college students.

The students may seem braver than they look. According to The Huffington Post, Yale placed third in the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education ranking of the worst colleges for free speech.

P.S. The Draft Daniels ad is the most notable Republican stirring in New Haven since last fall when Democratic Alderman Darnell Goldson endorsed Republican United States Senate candidate Linda McMahon out of the blue. Goldson told the New Haven Independent at the time that he was open to a job opportunity with McMahon’s campaign, though he denied that was the reason for the endorsement as the Greenwich Republicans hit some heavy going over her comments on the minimum wage. No word on how the Goldson gambit worked out for him, but McMahon garnered 3,266 votes in New Haven, losing the city to Richard Blumenthal by 19,599 votes. You could probably fit all the active New Haven McMahon supporters in a Land Rover or two.
