Linda McMahon Called Me at Home Tonight.

Republican Senate hopeful Linda McMahon is conducting a town hall on the telephone lines tonight.  Her campaign calls and, if you stay on the line, lets you hear questions posed by other listeners, take a survey, sign up as a volunteer, and ask a question yourself.

The most interesting question and answer so far:  How does she differ from Republican rival Peter Schiff?  She was bankrupt before making a great success in the wrestling business.  Schiff has gone from success to success, which for McMahon campaign purposes is not an attribute.

Blumenthal is another “liberal Democrat” who will go to Washington to “concentrate on more spending.”

For a pro-business Republican, McMahon sounds like she has a taste for tax credits for favored industries.  That always means a competition for government favors with politicians trying to pick the winners and losers in innovation and competition.

I tried to ask a question, but after listening for 38 minutes the program ended at 7 p.m.
