Linda McMahon has carried the Simmons stronghold of Vernon 369-335.  Peter Schiff received 200 votes.

Malloy lead is built on very strong showings in cities that Lamont had expected–and needed–to win.  Malloy people believe they have defeated Ned Lamont by carrying a broad cross section of towns and cities.

A tight three-way battle is emerging in the 5th congressional district.

Word from a reliable Republican hand is that Martha Dean, the endorsed Republican for attorney general, has opened a lead against rival Ross Garber.

We are hearing spirits rising in Malloy camp.

A lare crowd of McMahon supporters has gathered in Cromwell at the Crowne Plaza.  They are in a buoyant meed, confident of their candidate’s prospects.  Word in the McMahon camp, which is collecting results, is that rival Rob Simmons is not showing the strength they anticipated in his 2nd congressional base.

Simmons has lost Somers and Deep River in the 2nd, which is not the road to victory for the on-again, off-again candidate.
