Marilyn Cohen, RIP

The irrepressible Marilyn Cohen died this past weekend in Maryland. The West Hartford Democrat was there at the start of the careers of Christopher Droney and Kevin Sullivan. She was a vital supporter of Joe Lieberman. Cohen, who lived the joy of politics, served on the board of the Metropolitan District Commission and was an assistant clerk of the state Senate. Her most influential and enduring role, however, was as the head of the West Hartford Democratic party organization.

She was often a very funny lady.
