Maybe You Can Find Them at the Marco Polo.
Lieutenant Governor Michael Fedele and House Minority Leader Lawrence Cafero will not be at Governor M. Jodi Rell’s fundraiser and shakedown of lobbyists and state contractors tonight. Fedele is reported to be appalled at the ethics governor turning to lobbyists to underwrite her vanity enterprise. Cafero and Rell’s relationship has been strained by her abandonment of fiscal responsibility and her office’s ceaseless, small-minded tactics.
This is the 5th anniversary of Rell’s misbegotten fundraising event at the Marco Polo restaurant in East Hartford. Planning for it was run out her office and caused trouble for many commissioners who were browbeaten into distributing invitations to subordinates.

This may be a bit melodramatic, but I was recently watching The Usual Suspects, and was struck by one of my favorite lines… something like “the greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist.” I am not suggesting anyone is actually the Devil, but the parable is relevant here…. Jodi has done a wonderful job convincing us she is the ethics governor. It’s quite a trick really.
I find it incredibly funny and enormously hypocritical of Mike Fedele being critical of ANYONE’s ethics after the way he conducted himself during the run for Governor and afterwards…
How was he unethical? Not that I know he’s a stand-up guy, but I have never heard it alleged that he was a crook or abused his office or anything of the sort.
Mitch,
Clearly you have no idea what you are talking about.
