McMahon Winning Republican Establishment With Endorsements from Former Party Chairs.

Republican U.S. Senate hopeful Linda McMahon will remind rival former U.S. Representative Christopher Shays that she begins the nomination race with significant support from the party establishment.   Endorsements of McMahon from a gaggle of former Republican state chairmen are imminent, Daily Ructions has learned.

Some of those endorsing McMahon in this round supported Rob Simmons in the 2010 contest. Party insiders have warmed to McMahon and are not persuaded that Shays is making a serious effort to organize the comprehensive campaign that a frontline Senate effort requires.
