Peter Schiff Explains It All.

YouTube’s accommodation of longer videos–up to 10 minutes–is a dangerous temptation for candidates, as Peter Schiff proves in his analysis of last weekend’s Republican state convention.  A three minute wrap would have sufficed.  The extra time allows Schiff to ramble on about his newfound victimhood at the hands of 1,400 Republican volunteer delegates.

Schiff failed to make the most of his strong showing in the winter’s only televised debate featuring the Republican senate candidates.  His campaign has been erratic, as has been his commitment to it.  He’s capable of offering a piercing summary of an issue, but he rarely stops there.  He can wear out an audience with his rambles.  Schiff never came close to the 15% of delegates he needed to qualify automatically for a primary.  He seems miffed that his attempt to move his delegates to Rob Simmons saw many of them wondering to Linda McMahon.  So much for his regard for free minds.

Nevertheless, Schiff has a following somewhere out there.  The YouTube video below had more than 25,000 views by Wednesday morning.  That’s nearly 3 times the number of registered Republicans he needs to sign his primary petitions.  Friday night showed his audience is not among that party activists, so he’s going to have to concentrate and find the supporters he says were ignored.

There are two challenges facing Schiff in the hunt for signatures.  The first is that only Connecticut voters registered as Republicans can circulate his petitions.  The second is they have to find nearly 10,000 of their fellow registered Republicans to sign those petitions.  Republicans are thin on the ground in most of Connecticut, so Schiff better have teams covering the Island Beach ferry and the Greenwich Polo Club this weekend if he’s going to reach the threshold by the June filing deadline.

Only Republican can pass around the petitions? That’s weird!

And maybe not Constitutional.

At any rate, I won’t sign it.

I switched registration to “Republicrat” to vote in the primary and gather signatures for Schiff. No more RINO’s or posers!

You’d better study up on Peter Schiff BEFORE you support and/or vote for him. He’s not what you think he is.
