Republican First Ballot For Governor
A festival of delegate switching is taking place at the Republican state convention, with Tom Foley opening up a wide lead, though he may fall short of a majority. Most of the switches are from DeNardis to Foley, suggesting an accommodation between camps has occurred. There’s also some erosion in Oz Griebel’s support.
Update: Only Foley is within striking distance of winning on the first ballot. He is about 20 votes short with one congressional district left to announce switches.
