Senate in Collective Bargaining Charade. House Won’t Play.

During today’s special session of the legislature, the state Senate will consider a bill making changes to collective bargaining.  The doomed proposal will not be tied to state union leaders ramming through the adoption of the concessions agreement rejected by unionized state employees, Daily Ructions has learned.  The House, which has become organized labor’s firewall, will not take up the proposal.

A bill giving Governor Dannel Malloy expanded budget recision authority with oversight by at least one legislative committee will originate in the House and move to the Senate.
