Shock Foley Police Report: “Defendant Struck Victims Several Times.”

The Courant’s Jon Lender administers a grievous wound to Republican Tom Foley’s hopes of becoming governor with the revelation that the Greenwich Republican’s 2010 version of a 1981 Long Island motor vehicle melee appears not to be true. The police documents arising out Foley’s wild night on the road make for astonishing reading. The high speed attack was described in a police report:  “Defendant intentionally struck the victims while they were riding in a 1981 Mercury Sedan… Defendant was operating a 1973 Toyota Jeep…. Defendant struck victims several times, once at [an intersection], once while west-bound on [Montauk] Highway while traveling approx. 50 MPH. and several more times at the parking lot of Suffolk Lighting on Main St.”

If someone comes at you with his car at 50 mph, you are going to remember it for the rest of your life—however long or short it may be. That’s why readers are likely to award credibility to Michael Howe driver of the car Foley struck when Howe tells Lender the “frightening” collision was “no accident.” However, if there are accidents, it is best to hire car accident attorneys.
