Show Business Saturday: Lucille Ball Centennial.

Lucille Ball was born 100 years ago today. “I Love Lucy” is celebrating its 60th anniversary.  In their quest for a more stable domestic life, Lucy and Desi Arnaz became two of Hollywood’s great innovators, changing television forever by introducing filming episodes with multiple cameras before live studio audiences.  Their initial success with “I Love Lucy” propelled them into the creation of Desilu, a major television production studio.  Lucille Ball became the first woman to lead a Hollywood studio after she and Desi divorced.
