Shush on the Schicklgruber References.
It’s a mystery why some public figures and others think their arguments are strengthened by linking opponents to the policies of Adolf Hitler. Senator Sherrod Brown took his turn using the discreditable device on the Senate floor today, according to Politico. Hitler and Stalin, he claimed, opposed labor unions. They were against many things.
Corporal Schicklgruber was a vegetarian, didn’t drink and turned his nose up at cigars. He did not encourage an armed citizenry. His government ran financial scams and engaged in deep deficit spending. It doesn’t take much creativity to fashion an analogy to Hitler. What it requires is the ugliest form of malice.
If you want to put words in ‘itler’s mouth, make one of these. This is as close as anyone should get to the Fuhrer.
