Something Different: A Tory Dances.

Ann Widdecombe is the sort of character only the British allow to endure in political life.  A big personality, opinions on everything, and a touch eccentric. Who could ask for more? Even the friendly Daily Telegraph called her a battle ax. After a long career in the House of Commons, the Conservative Widdecombe retired at this year’s general election.

She’s on the current season of Britain’s “Strictly Come Dancing” (their version of “Dancing With the Stars”), and has become the show’s top attraction–though it’s for the effort, not the dancing.

There hasn’t been much humor in American politics lately, so here’s something different as our own rough campaigns conclude: Widders doing a paso doble on last night’s show, week 5.
