…….is a 30 point lead.  Florida Governor Charlie Crist is the most recent prohibitive frontrunner to see his advantage evaporate.  Crist’s numbers have been going in one direction for months.  The cause:  He’s been painted by Republican Marco Rubio as squishy, a “wet” to the British.  Mrs. Thatcher would ask, “Is he one of us?”  Everyone knew what she meant.  Poor Charlie Crist can’t help it.  He thought it safe to embrace the stimulus package early last year.  It went wrong and he’s grinding his gears in retreat.  This may become an often-told tale in 2010.  Unsettling for frontrunners, inspiration for long shots.
