Where’s Walden? Michele Bachmann Botches History in New Hampshire.
Yikes, did Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R-MN) really earn an L.L.M. from William and Mary? The Tea Party doyenne made an almighty mess of her much anticipated barnstorming visit to New Hampshire today. She seemed to think that the 1775 Battles of Lexington and Concord that marked the start of the American Revolution were fought in New Hampshire.
Scott Conroy of Real Clear Politics has a dispiriting account of Bachmann’s appearance in Manchester, New Hampshire, where she congratulated an audience on raising high the torch of liberty where what Emerson’s “shot heard ’round the world” was fired. Only it wasn’t.
That’s more than a moment of confusion or mispronunciation. It’s American history illiteracy on aggressive display.

Palin to Bachmann: “Duh.”
That’s a big heap of misspeakin’.
It’s not like Bachmann thinks we have 57 states, “Austrian” is a language and we give asthmatics breathalyzers.
She made a simple mistake and mistook NH for MA. Big deal! There is no question in my mind she is considerably more intelligent than Obama.
It appears that there’s no question in Bachman’s mind.
