Why Applications Matter.

My weekly column last Sunday in the Hartford Courant told the dispiriting story of The Metropolitan District Commission ignoring a politically-connected job seeker’s startling omissions on his job application.  Ivan Maldonado neglected to include large parts of his criminal record.

This story of the horrific bus crash in New York last Saturday morning provides a reminder that failing to disclose information on an application can have tragic and far-reaching consequences.
