Ya Either Got It, or Ya Ain’t.

Democratic lieutenant governor primary challenger Mary Glassman is disappearing into a fog of contradictions.  Her campaign declared this week that she’d reached the $75,000 threshold to receive public financing.  Then the Simsbury official sent an email asking for contributions to help her meet the requirement her campaign had just said she’d made.

Glassman challenged endorsed candidate Nancy Wyman to a series of debates.  She included the two Republicans seeking the second spot on their ticket in her invitation.  This is another reversal for Glassman.  Four years ago when Glassman made her first bid for lieutenant governor, convention choice Scott Slifka, I understand, issued invitations to debate to Glassman and couldn’t get so much as a how-to-you-do to his attempts to get Glassman in the ring.

Glassman’s invitation made an admiring reference to transparency. She could start by explaining if she’s got the $75,000.
